FREE Level 3 Training Offer for Cambridgeshire based employers

This is a level 3 Skills Gap project which is designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and qualifications required for their career development, particularly in the areas of leadership and management. It is focused on individuals who are already in employment, including volunteers and seeks to remove barriers to progression and aid flexibility in the workplace.
A range of NVQ level 3 qualifications are available to suit individual’s needs. Alternatively, the ILM Introductory Certificate in First Line Management may be studied. The ILM course is delivered over 5 days - 1 day every 4 weeks approximately for 20 weeks. These courses are being run in both Cambridge and Peterborough areas.
For NVQ’s, individuals work at their own pace and collect evidence of competence using either a paper based portfolio system or using our internet based paperless portfolio system.
Assistance can be given with travel costs and child care where appropriate.
This programme is 100% funded by the European Social Fund in conjunction with Cambridgeshire Learning and Skills Council.
The programme is already under way but individuals may join the programme at any time. The completion date of the programme is April 2007. Places are strictly limited so if this if of interest please contact us immediately.

Qualification Criteria
For employees to qualify for this ESF programme, their employer must employ less than 250 employees. If the employer is part of a larger group then they would not qualify unless the total employees in the whole of the group, is less than 250.
Individuals participating in the programme should not already have a level 3 qualification but they may well have a level 2 qualification of some kind. There may however be cases where individuals with an existing level 3 qualification may be allowed to participate in this programme - please contact us for clarification.
